they made their rounds in my neighborhood today. As annoying as they are, I really enjoy scaring them away with my nudity.

This! They had a new car last year, and we almost got caught by surprise. -
I've found that "if you have the time" and actualy talk to them in a civilized manner and explain your belief system, they eventually stop coming around.
Yeah, I think most of if not all of us have done the hide, play crazy, be as offensive as possible or out & out play dead routines. All with similar luck. Seems that when you present logical arguments and speak to them with respect it tends to go a lot further. Hmmmm who woulda thunk it. -

Hmmmm who woulda thunk it.I agree with saba, i've invited them in, got out a bible and shared with them also, they stopped coming around after that. if they are going to witness to me then i'm going to try to convert them also. also the past couple times i've kept them out in the heat and not let them in my house, and i ask a million questions and pretend to be interested to keep them out there as long as possible. that texas heat makes them think twice about visiting me again.

I just answer the door, let them speak, tell them I'm not interested and then they leave.

They come out 1 time every 2 years and last year I answered the door with a machete at my hip. I looked at them in a black glare and left my hand on my machete the whole time. I'm not sure if they are coming back or not.

Witnesses aren't aimed at getting you to convert, that's your own decision! The purpose is to open your mind to the truth about what the bible really says! I've been studying the bible daily for the past few years! It's funny to hear others perspective on the door to door ministering, as I embark upon my own start in the witnessing work!

I don't have a problem with people knocking on my door for a chat. The fact that some people have to resort to desperate measures to avoid human contact with people who might not share the same beliefs and opinions is kinda sad.

Of course you will come to the same conclusions yourself if you REALLY study the bible... I spoke to one once when I was about 10, I had a nosebleed and she kept it short because my mom was at work (at a Catholic office no less) but she was very polite, and I returned the politness.

I have a problem with them because they come every week on Tuesday. I tell them that I'm not interested every time but they kept coming back. Then I noticed that they come at about 3:30, so I was prepared. When they knocked I opened the door and pulled my pants down. Then I yelled "pudding!" They looked at me like I was crazy and then tried to have a sensible conversation with me. I told them that I wasn't interested and they left (my pants were still on the ground). They didn't come next week but they kept coming for the next month. On their last visit, I put my 4 year old daughter on her tricycle with some face paint, ketchup, and a fake knife. My wife opened the door and I pushed my daughter towards them while she yelled "come play with me!" They never came again 😌.

I spent a few years knocking on doors for the Jehovahs, and let me tell you something... It takes the type that likes to study and take in all the details to fall in that little group. And I did study very hard. But like every other Abrahamic cult out there, none of it stands up to reason. The ones that take it all to heart are the "extremeists". Follow your bibble to the letter of each example. I DARE you. -

I have a special place in my heart for Jehovah's Witnesses. They raked me in when I was 15. I was specifically and repeatedly urged NOT to attend college. Free thought and worldly education don't exactly work for the organization.
