Such a sad day, especially knowing they're still at large.
My thoughts go out to the family's of the victims and to the police who died protecting the innocent.

The first heavy period of lynching in the South was between 1868 and 1871. It began with a purge of black and white Republicans by white Democrats. Whites had decided to prevent the ratification of new constitutions by preventing people from voting. Failed attempts at terrorization led to a massacre during the 1868 elections, with the systematic murder of about 1300 voters across various southern states ranging from South Carolina to Arkansas.

I have 3 close family members who live in Paris, partial motivation for my post... They don't want to be holding guns.

I believe every citizen should be armed. If everyone had a gun stuff like this wouldn't happen.

Three points;
1. I like the principle within the American constitution that allows citizens the right to bear arms - why should a state be able to oppress the masses, guns don't kill people, people do etc. Nonetheless, I like the fact that in Europe there is far less gun crime then in the USA. There are however many incidents where an unbalanced individual / terrorist has gone on a ramapage with a knife or other weapon (Lee Rigby murder for one). -
2. Not all terrorists are muslims; IRA (funded by Americans) or under the definition of terrorism (use of violence for political motive) all animalrights activists or anti-capilist demonstrators.
3. Western media is shockingly biased. The west kills hundreds of people in the middle east on a daily basis. Fact that we distance ourselve from the kill by so called use of preciosion guided weapons does notmake the West much better.
Despite all of the above I do get the same visceral reaction to these incidents that otherson here appear to have had. I overcome that reaction by using logic and reason. Remember the only thing you ever have to fear, is fear itself. I will never surrender to fear or terror tactics by the state, by IS, by al quaeda, IRA or BAIC (joke). I know most decent people will not either.😈👍

Right now as I speak the two suspects are holding people hostage northeast of Paris in a building.
While at the same time another man are holding people hostage in a Jewish supermarket east of Paris. Where the guy is shooting with a Kalashnikov. It's all live on TV here now. Madness...Je suis Charlie
