Wisdom Teeth Removal

Fucking sucks, guys.
Mine were growing the opposite direction of in on each part and would've continued until they somehow stopped in my jaw or something as I understand it, so they needed to come out. Fuck my mouth hurts. Now I'm on a couple pain meds and am at the point where I can't strong together thoughts very well. Just felt like sharing because I haven't talked much to you all as of late.
How did your procedures all go out of curiosity? For the circumstances mine had it went pretty damn well though I'm told the pain might persist longer than usual.

Had all four out about a decade ago ... General anesthetic ... Went fine, nice bit of discomfort for about 4 days then all good.
Also had two hips replaced, those take a little longer to recover from 😄

Get a tiny syringe that squirts water. Rinse out those nasty holes in your head and it will heal faster.

I am to have mine removed as they are growing wrong.
When they told me what they intend to do I was like "fuck dat"
& have never been back since :-0 -

& have never been back since :-0Here's a story..My dentist had told me for years that I had to have mine done, but they weren't bothering me at all so I delayed delayed..At this point anyone who doesn't think personal medical history should be in the general forum should stop reading..123..OK..Underneath my wisdom teeth, the gums got infected and it was the second worse pain I've ever been in. The waves of agony would come like clockwork every 20 minutes..All would be fine, then I could feel another wave coming. Had to tell my family to go to a different floor in the house so they couldn't hear me swearing upstairs. Had to call the dentist off a golf course to prescribe pain relief..
Moral:
1. Get the teeth fixed before they become a problem.
2. When someone tells you to stop reading in the GD, do so.

I had all four removed about 25 years ago. I had no problems whatsoever.

Had 8 (yes, I know you're only supposed to have 4) impacted wisdom teeth removed under general anesthesia about 28 years ago. Wasn't a good experience for anyone.
I woke up slightly agitated from the anesthesia and decided it would be a good idea to swing at any medical professional who was brave enough to check on me. When I finally was with it enough to realize what was going on, I was more than a little surprised to find myself restrained for everyone's protection. Karma is s bitch. Once I got home, it only took 24-36 hrs for me to get dry sockets in several of the cavities that once housed my former teeth. A miserable experience to say the least. -

Look up dry sockets and make super sure you do not get them.

The gas had me laughing and hiccuping so uncontrolably, my mother and the surgeon had to carry me to the car. I couldn't walk. The pain will go away quickly enough, I slept a lot.

I had all 4 out 3 yrs ago and the pain only lasted about 2 days. I was so messed up when I got home I ruined my jacket... I tried to patch the holes in it with a hot glue gun

I had 4 removed years ago though my story was the worst as I was still bleeding 2 days after operation and missed work for a week. All my other friends had 0 problems back to work next day
But most of you guys here had it worst 😁 -
My wisdom teeth removal in 1976 was without any problems. I had a dream during the operation that blood came spurting out of my mouth. Afterwards, Percocets and a six pack of beer while watching a movie with friends at the drive-in took care of any pain.
On the other hand, my daughter awakened to find that the surgeon aborted after pulling three teeth. The fourth was too hard to remove. She suffered a cranial nerve injury, and was left with numbness of part of her tongue, her lower lip, chin, and cheek. Eventually, most of her feeling came back, but she still has a little numbness of her lip. The drooling was most embarrassing. She wouldn't even know it was happening!

Lucky enough to have all my wisdom teeth come in straight!😉

They had to break one of my wisdom teeth in several little pieces. Only needed a pain pill right of out the process. Was feeling better in 3 days.

The laughing gas was my first experience with being altered. I wasn't one of the kids getting drunk in high school. (Some family history convinced me to try sobriety first) I remember having my jaw wedged wide open, cackling like a hyena every time I heard another root pop loose. I thought it was hilarious not being able to feel anything, but still watching the dentist strain with effort as he jerked my head back-and-forth. The recovery wasn't bad; totally worth the laughing gas.

Begin day 2 - I look like a fucking chipmunk.
You guys have some crazy stories haha, I thought mine was sort of bad but wow.
@ Ipodguy - I have a rinse I'm doing that's supposed to prevent that but thank you for the concern!

General anesthesia? Psh.
"This blindfold will keep tooth chips out of your eyes."
Nah... I think they didn't want me to see the hammers and chisels.
I signed some papers, desperately trying to keep my mouth shut. I had a sneaky feeling I was bleeding.
I walked back to the barracks, dumped a mouthful of blood in the sink, took too many Tylox and lay back on my rack while the compartment spun gently around me.
Avoid soda for a while. Hurts the holes.
