I saw all those posts out there about ppl having a bad day and figured I'd counterpoint.

Last month I volunteered with my local fire company. Last night we had my first real fire. The great news ismthat we saved most of the house, only a quarter burned and kept smoke and water damage out of at least half of it, and better yet there were no injurues, either the residents or the hundred or so firefighters that were there.

It was a great experience, and it feels good to be back into protecting my community...but it always sucks for the families involved. Thoughts to them please.
