Can a player capture turf and loose the fight at same time

No. You could lose the entire time, but the only way you capture a turf is if you end it off with a "win".

Ya gotta at least win one occasionally. A win does the actual capture.

No. You have to win that final fight. You can lose during the battle but the last attack must be a win.
