I have a new ipod 4 with version 4.1 on it and i need to know where to goto to get firmware 4.0.1 so i can jailbreak it!!!!! Please i need help

Same here It won't let mr jailbreak I lost it because apple found out somehow I hate them

If that version of the iPod came with 4.1, then you might not be able to downgrade to 4.0.1 Same reason why you can't downgrade iPhone 4 to the 3.x firmware.

so does that mean ill have to wait? Cuz actually u can downgrade if it was previously jailbroken and the ssh file crap saved or whatever it is

Try redsnow. Put it in dfu mode and recover it with 3.1.3 or whatever file u want.
