Fast paced battles

Does it actually happen? Many suggestions mention slowing down or speeding up how fast it takes for an enemy to press a button. But.. Would that ever matter? Is it possible to have multiple people fighting each other at the same moment in time?

Myself, bella, Nelli and ........Charlie I think, just had an epic battle against Belial. Sounds kinda stupid but I had a great time pressing that button really fast. It was crazy
