I think I got a memo from my parents saying "be happy you're not in North Korea" for my 16th. I bought my first car 3 years ago, from my first real job out of grad school.

My first car was a 1983 Toyota KE-70 (anyone that's owned one will know the little beast to which I refer) ... that thing was nuts. I sold it when I bought a newer car and needed cash to get the upgrade registered, but I plan to buy another and drop a V6 into it, lengthen the suspension and put chunky tires on it (among other upgrades) for off-road racing. That car had so much potential, even stock standard and 25+ years old.

Miss my 91 ford tempo. 18 th birthday. Mom n dad matched me dollar for dollar I saved up 1200, boom, Ford tempo. I started it with a hammer for 6 months, but dmmit, it started.
