I just graduated basic training!

Just spent the last 10 weeks at Fort Jackson, South Carolina from June 16 to August 28, I can honestly say I'm proud to serve my country and I'm happy to be home. Any other turfers that serve their country?

Graduated Ft. Bennington Georgia in 2006 as 11B2C (infantry 11B and javaline gunner 2C) was assigned to 2/23 inf. Ft. Lewis, WA. In 2008 was reassigned to Recon Platoon as a Sniper with the same unit. ETS'd in 3/13. Arthritis in my back along with degenerative disks and eye sight loss in my left eye, hearing loss in my left ear and a torn maniskis. I was 19yrs old wanna know what I got for it? Nothing. What did I gain from it? Everything.

Yes Chucky! The whole base revolves around "Victory", there's signs with President Andrew Jackson saying "Victory Starts Here", the drink station at the DFAC (Dining Facility) is called Victory Punch, FTX 3 (Field Training Exercise" is called Victory Forge.
