Earlier in the week I was doing some yard work and got into a batch of poison oak. Before I even knew I had it, it had spread EVERYWHERE! (Yes, there too!😩) I had it on the biotin of my feet, my armpits, and even in my eyes! For the last five days I have been a walking ball of itch! I went to the doctor and $145 later had a prescription for some sort of steroid blah blah whatever, and some anti itch lotion. My face looks like I've gone 5 rounds with Anderson silva and I've gained 8lbs what is visibly defined muscle. My overall demeanor has become very aggressive. My workout has doubled and I'm ready to wrestle a bear! How the hell do people do these things on the regular?!? Praying that next Tuesday gets here so I can be done with this script. The poison oak is almost gone and the swelling has gone done. But why is it when the hulk gets mad and breaks shit he's incredible. But when I do it I'm a drunken asshole???

I've had to take them a few times over the years. The longest time lasted a few months. (Usually this consisted of 3 days of IV steroids in the hospital then oral steroids.) They've typically made me more irritable & grouchy, but that's about it. That could be because I'm a woman.

However, there was one day that they just hit me wrong or something. I was playing TW & something little made me mad. I don't even remember what it was - nothing that was really a big deal. I became irrationally & almost violently angry though. I really just wanted to take the phone and ram it into my head over & over until it and/or my head was destroyed. It took a lot for me not to do that. I think it helped that I realized it was the steroids causing it (at first I had no idea wtf) was wrong with me. It gave me a slight new understanding of roid rage. It also made me wonder why on earth anyone would ever want to feel like that if they didn't have to.

I'm on steroids a minimum of once or twice a year due to the fact that I'm absurdly allergic to Poison ivy. I just look at it from 40' and within 24 hrs I'm breaking out. 36-48 hrs and it's become systemic. The minute I realize I have it, I'm off to the dr to get my prescription of prednisone. It def screws with your personality a bit but I've already got a pretty screwed up personality so must don't notice any difference. As for the bulk or musscle mass...I call bullshit! The type of steroids you take for oak, ivy & sumac are not the same as performance enhancing steroids which are typically anabolic.
That being said, whatever the negative side effects you're experiencing from the steroids are far better than the misery of itchy as fuck puss laden legions on your cock and ball sack.

Hehehe....okay Saba, so the muscle mass might me more of a hope than a reality. Besides, my eyes were pretty swollen....I'll stop posing like Schwarzenegger now....but yes mystery I get it! 0-rage in 2.1 seconds :P and hey turfa, I've finally made it to Australia now.....where's the place to be? 😜

It was totally out of character for me too. I'm not violent at all. I suppose I get mad as much as anyone else but I seldom get really angry. I don't think of myself as having a temper & have never heard anyone describe me as such. Before I got sick (and became a pain in the ass) I was actually pretty easy going.
