Straight razor vs Pro Glide
Forums › General Discussion › Straight razor vs Pro Glide-
How do you shave? I used one of those fancy six blade disposables up until about a year ago when I decided to start shaving like a man.
I save tons of money by not having to buy those expensive blades, and I get the smoothest shave possible.

Straight blades scare the hair out of me. I'll stick with the dumby proof, still rough shave

I used the Mach 3 for ages. Upgraded to the fusion. Blades seem to last forever

I shave with hair clippers without a guard. Clean up my neck and cheeks with a disposable Bic.

I have a merkur straight razor blade and I use either Derby or Feathers blades. I'm phasing out my Derbys cause they're more dull. Feathers are more sharp but a bit more costly. But on sites like eBay and other channels I can get enough blades to last for 1-2 years for like $30. Can't go wrong with that

I use Gillette fusion pro glides. They're a little pricey but are very comfortable to use. For aftershave I use Play by Givenchy

Schick Hydro 3 or Prince Maximum 5. Schick Hydro are smoother and give a cleaner shave but are more expensive.
As for soap, I shave in the shower. Soap the pits, soap the face. Shave the face, rinse the pits. 😜

Don't be a sucker for those soap molds they sell. Just make it in some PVC pipe and cut a disc off of it off as needed.
