Mid-Winter Spring Cleaning

The sun is shining and the birds chattering happily after two days of howling wind and pouring rain and Mrs Turfa and I are as busy as bees (with the occasional coffee/TW break) ... because tomorrow lots of people shall congregate upon our humble abode. With only several weeks before baby Turfa is due, it is time for family and friends to shower the Turfa family with a multitude of atrociously noisy baby toys and irritatingly fluffy patchwork quilts.
Turfa and the other men shall be banished to the workshop where they will enjoy beer, barbecued steaks and football on the TV, whilst in the house women shall mill about squeaking about adorably fuzzy tiny clothing and reminisce about the birth of their first children over coffee and strange games.

For all of those uneducated, North Ameica and other continents are in a different hemisphere than Australia, and hemispheres switches the seasons around.
