Anyone else have an RC an into racing? Post up what ya have and what kind of racing you do?

I have a 1/10th electric 4wd short course. Im not very good but its my first year having a go at it. I want to get a kit so I can build my own instead of the rtr I have now.

Truck and I are rather biased, we like his nitro engine and wouldn't swap it for electric for anyone.

With that said, I am considering building/buying a 1/5 Baja or something along those lines, I'm quite interested in trying out gasoline. From what I understand it's a bit more reliable than nitro lol.

I am in the same boat as Darker Digital, I've only had a proper RC truck for about a year now (refer to my '4X4 RC nitro monster truck' thread at the bottom of the page) ... Truck is fun but a bit flimsy for my liking. If l can save the money up, 1/8 truck or 1/5 Baja would be great!

Now, I just have to find a local club to begin racing! :)

1/10 tamiya drift/race electric w/brushless motor . Nothing special just the Ferrari one you need to build your self.
And a 1/10 HPI truck

Is your truck nitro or electric?

Is your truck nitro or electric?
Electric ...I've driven nitro cars. When they crash it's a huge mess . I'll work my way up to nitro some day when I have more time .

I have a few and race at several off road tracks near me. I'm sponsored by Proline, Xpert, and Atomik RC.

We've been into RCs for a little over 2 years and racing since last October.

It's more addicting than capping little circles lol

Its a Associated Prolite 4x4. Im going to probably get a Losi kit soon

Well ... It seems that my truck disliked being four wheel drive ... We just went for a spin and after several fantastic jumps and some excellent drifting (yep, nitro monster trucks drift lol) a wheel tore off. Not fell off, tore off. The center of the wheel is still firmly bolted to the axle. Oh well ... looks like it's back to the workshop lol. Ebay looks good for some metal wheels!

I've got a 1/10 tamiya nitro car with a 350z nismo shell got a few battle scars from flipping it at high speed haha it still amazes me how fast these little nitro cars can go , would love to get a Axial rock crawler and spend a shit load on it but unfortunately my real life 4x4 always wins lol

I'm hearin' ya on the real life fourby ... One day when I'm a millionaire I'll get back into 4x4 lol. Until then, I fondly remember the days when I bush-bashed to earn a quid 😜

Yeh mate it's been a while just come n check out the forums , if only life was so easy haha , I agree with cereal killer electric is so much easier to play with mrs G had an electric drift car it was pretty sweet to muck around with

I'm hearing you guys, but seriously I just can't get past the real smoke/real fuel element ... electric just doesn't get my blood pumping like nitro does lol. My truck's exhaust fell off a couple weeks ago and the resulting deafening scream was excellent! Too bad I care about the condition of the piston and bore or I'd have continued running it, mud and dust and all haha
