Travel questions #2

Me and my family will be taking a trip soon to Belgium, in this trip we are going to head to Amsterdam,London, Paris, Normandy, we will also be taking a flight to Rome,Italy, and Greece......
If there's anyone out there that can give me any travel tips etc. anything would be greatly appreciated thanks.... -
Put yourself out of your comfort zone! Best part of traveling is new experiences. I don't have much in the terms of specific advice, but that generally has helped me have an interesting time in the past 👍

Try not to get too close to any french people, you'll regret it if you do.

Don't even bother to speak French in Paris. They are the most arrogant fuckers in the world. And don't try to play cards while enjoying your beer or wine along a sidewalk cafe. They will claim its illegal, but it's not. You can order a glass of water and sit all damn day, but pull out some cards...

Don't misunderstand me, Paris is a neat city, but don't try to learn their culture and customs. They think it's useless versus seeing the humility it takes to attempt.

We really do not plan on spending much time in Paris my son just wants to go see a few things there that are on his list and then we will be out of there..... We will be spending most of our time in London and the other places, Paris is just going to be a one day visit.
But thanks for the feedback. -
Sure thing, I haven't been to London, can't help out there.
-
What is the approximate age of your son???
-
11.......

Normandy is having it's 75th anniversary in June while we are going to be there so he is quite exciting about that.....

Bring a poncho. Every time I've been to London, it pours rain

Paris is a fantastic city but u would certainly need more than one day there to see the main attractions. The lads above are right in what they say and i'll add one more thing- dont eat or drink around big tourist spots (Eiffel tower, etc) as its very expensive. Same for Rome.
Sounds like an exciting trip Dan, you're coming this far you should pop over to Dublin for a weekend, as good as any capital city in Europe!
Enjoy -
Hamburg, always Hamburg, the most beautiful german city.
Forget about Berlin, Munich, or Neuschwanstein-Bullshit.
If you come to Germany, visit Hamburg!!! -
How long are you In London?amsterdam has a great club that has live sex shows on stage halfway through the night lol . The market stall selling magic mushrooms outside is good fun as well. So I am told by my friends😁

4 days in Amsterdam also.... -
We plan on staying 18-20 days across the pond on this summer vacation .....
Keep on with the tips.... -
You should check out Kloster Kruetzberg near Bischofsheim on der Rhön, they have the best bier I've ever tasted. It's about an hour East of Frankfurt, Germany.

Nice mate, if you're spending any time in Athens, stay in the touristy areas for the most part. Leave with a good image of Athens. Trust me, I used to live there. Although if you want the best Greek experience, get out of Athens. Go visit some islands (Hydra's one of my favourites, also try shipwreck beach [sorry, don't know the formal name for it]), Delphi's nice, although very touristy, the northern part of the country up near Macedonia, and Mt. Olympus. Knossos is a must do, while you're at it, go and do more of Crete. Hope you pick something off of this list, sorry it's been a bit long!

One more thing about Greece; don't go to a football match, they go mental over it. Biggest sporting rivalries around. Even so, Παναθηναϊκος for life!! Φύρα 13!
