Hey there. Mobbing up is the name of the game. You are protected at you current level right now. So I'd hold off on missions. Once you hit 16 bigger players can jack your turfs.

Punch codes.
Increase turf limit.
Be diplomatic.
Be polite.
Respect mobs bigger than yourself.
For what's probably the defining beginners guide, search Mickey Dunn, and read his wall. He can be found on the top mobsters leaderboard. Good luck and happy turfing!

be careful not to place sentimental turf or get upset if someone caps a turf. they are just circles and you can replant them.
and don't place one on your house and call it home :)
