E-Cigs

Anyone smoke them? I used to smoke new ports all the time before I quit 3 years ago. I recently started smoking ecigs like Blucig and Njoy. People usually smoke these to quit or as an alternative .i am looking at some rechargeable ones but there are so many. Any ecig recommendations ?

Just curious- if you quit smoking 3 years ago, why did you take up e-cigs?

Hookah pen

Did you read that article from the NYT that came out the other day? Supposedly there's a chemical in the e-cig that, if the cartridge is cracked open, can be fatal just by coming in contact with skin. I've considered switching to e-cigs, but there's still a lot of unknowns with them.

Bullshit! They are either lying or misinformed. You can buy a bottle of liquid and fill your own cartridges. It doesn't kill you by getting on your skin.Did you read that article from the NYT that came out the other day? Let me see if I can pull it up.

Ok I saw that NYT's article and still call bullshit. Nobody uses concentrated nicotine precisely because it is dangerous. And the article is self says no one has died from nicotine poisoning caused by ecig usage. It's just a scare article, probably put out by tobacco companies.

Thanks there's a brick and mortar store opening half an hour away from me. They let you try before you buy. I have heard of "weed ecigs with THC" coming out in legal to smoke states.☠ðůナ⌖ʟḁẘ☠ wrote:

They've got those out already in Colorado.

E-cigs like blu and other brands never worked for me. There is a new thing called vaping. It's basically an ecig but in a way healthier. While it's lumped in with ecigs it isnt the same thing. Depending on where you are located it can be big in your area as it is spreading rapidly. I know a ton of information on vaping so anything you need to know feel free to pm me. Oh and before anyone says any kind of smoking is hazardous please do LOTS of research. I did my research and found vaping is a lot different especially when you make sure you know what you are putting into your body. Also you don't produce nicotine as you blow out so no affects to those around you.

As far as ECigs go, i don't smoke, regular or ECig, however, the ECig is the only thing i will that is like "smoking" in my rigs. I am trying to remember brands, but in Coeur d' Alene ID, and Spokane WA, there is a place called the Vapor Lounge, and my roommate would go there to get his liquids/batteries (he broke one somehow). The ECig does not leave a tar on the cab of my truck, and the vapor that is exhaled i actually don't mind. So it is the better of the options if you ask me...

Nicotine is an additive and is poisonous. If it's part of your liquid, you are smoking poison regardless of the delivery system. Vaping is applied to all e-cigs as you are essentially smoking liquid/oil vapor + chemicals. There is no other vaping. You can purchase non nicotine liquid, maybe that's what you're talking about? Also, nicotine is odorless, so..There is a new thing called vaping. It's basically an ecig but in a way healthier. While it's lumped in with ecigs it isnt the same thing. As I said please do research. There are 4 ingredients in the liquids i smoke and none of them are chemicals besides the nicotine. In common ecigs the blu brand you still have the additives. Also in vaping(which as stated before is different then regular ecigs) you control your nicotine level. The amount of nicotine i personally vape has little effect on my own body let alone harming anyone else. I feel 30 times better then i did while smoking easily. I've done my research please do yours.Lady Skillz wrote:

What are you talking about? E-cigs are not vaping? Additives? Your research is a bit off. It's all the same, gas station cartridges or DIY all use the same ingredients. There's better working devices than cigarette looking e-cigs but basically they are the same. You're not special just because you bought a more expensive device.

I use the OG vapor pen. They are refillable, tons of favors. And changeable tanks for liquid vapor, dry herb, or wax/oil/ hash. I used it to quit smoking cigs about a month ago now. And use it to smoke 420 products without drawing attention to myself.

Uh, all e cigs use a form of vaporization. They use a heated coil to vaporize the liquid/chemical whatever it is you're using. Also you're still smoking. There is no "safe" alternative to smoking besides quitting entirely.Roger That wrote:

No grim, it's not smoking. There are no products of combustion in vaping. It's like breathing the steam from your teacup vs. starting the tea bag on fire and breathing that.

True it is a heating element burning vapor. But it did work for me to quit smokeing. I will take the 4 chemials in the vapor that are also already in cigs over 60+ In all cigs.Lady Skillz wrote:

15 year ex tobacco and ecig smoker here. I'm not going to argue over the other chemicals. It's irrelevant. Nicotine alone is bad enough.
The main reason you feel better is probably because you no longer breathe excess carbon dioxide all day.

My question is whos going to send me some up here in Canada. Pretty sure they are illegL up here, we only have the shitty flavored ones with not nearly enough chemicals for my liking😝

I will probably go for the zero nicotine e-juices and a cheap rechargeable. Many people consume nicotine with out knowing. Tomatoes,Potatoes,Eggplants,Peppers, cauliflower and certain popular teas six as green teas and black teas all contain nicotine. I guess certain people maybe more sensitive to nicotine than others.Lady Skillz wrote:

I've been using a vapestick for almost a year and feel so much better for it...I had a cigarette a couple of weeks ago and nearly threw up so win win in my eyes.
Still no definitive research into 'vaping' but I'd bet my house on the fact the chemicals (or lack of them) are substantially less than those cancer sticks -
I used to smoke, now I Vape!
eJuice is made of 4 ingredients, PG - Propylene Glycol -throat hit, VG - Vegetable Glycerin -vapor, flavor & the only chemical is the nicotine. If making your own eJuice, handle with caution... use gloves and wash your hands, common sense.
To vape is NOT a safe alternative to smoking. Since I no longer suck in 40 chemicals including gun powder, I'd say it has been a step in the right direction towards healthy choices for me.
I have helped several friends switch over, and I have done custom mods to fit each individuals needs. I modify all my tanks. -
Silicone wicks are dangerous! Please only use 100% cotton! If you need advice on wick replacement, dry burning, setup, refills, or how to steep your eJuice send me a pm.
I love sweet and fruity eJuice flavors from the company that is trying to keep it natural, eLiqCube (blue label). I've never had to steep it, unlike volcano brand steeping is a must. My local vape lounge/ store makes custom mixes. The only way I was able to get my ex to not "need" a cig after he vapes.
My setup is a modified dual atomizer drip tank, crossed wicks leading down 4 ways with adjustable voltage eWand with pass through... Full flavor, nice big cloud & I never get eJuice in my mouth, even laying down!
Additional vape benefits: my son does not breathe in 2nd hand smoke, I don't stink like an ashtray, no yellow and stained fingers and nails, no burns in the car or home, no ashes blown everywhere, and I can smoke anywhere which helps with my lil'issues😉 -
Thank you LuvByrd for writing it all out. I wasnt that ambitious. I'm so glad that I came across vaping and it's helped so much! I cant do a dripper like you the lung hit is too powerful and it's just a tad too awkward for me. I stick with a kayfun. It works well for me and i do the coils and rebuild it all myself. If you ever get a chance that a vapefest comes near you check it out. I just went to the one in DC and it was amazing. Met a lot of cool people and even better were the crazy setups that had. I got my brother started on vaping and he cut down a lot. For him it was like me and it took a little will power to want to quit but for most people i meet they try it and it instantly sticks. Plus its free air freshner which i like!

Knowledge is best shared not kept to oneself, but I'm a 👶и༠༠в¡з👼... Just wanted to share from a byrd's view😉
I noticed petitions being circulated on the ecig forums, tbh have not had the time to read it.
This is my opinion: Government could not provide proof that ecig should be outlawed. They see lost money in their pockets and I assume heavy taxes shall follow. Who is whispering in their ears, and weighing down their pockets... big tobacco companies who are known for lies to the government and to consumers.
I also hope that the people who use illegal drugs in ecigs will not spoil it for the rest of us.
