Cannabis cures cancer?
Forums › General Discussion › Cannabis cures cancer?-
If you believe fat rich pharma company's are happy to wave goodbye to $120 a year for ANY cure you are dreaming.
AND being that the U.S govt own the patent on medical marijuana them company's would steer clear of anything with a patent so they get alllll the money.

while it might slow it down, it also might cause it faster.....

I would think the tobacco in a joint would cause cancer.

I agree, but I'm still on the fence on whether or not weed helps with curing cancer. Whether its cannabis or not, it doesn't matter, but I do think there is a cheaper cure and the government/drug companies are keeping it quiet to keep making a profit.I actually am a cynical that I believe there are thousands of things out there that are kept quiet and discredited to keep the people with millions rich, from pharmaceuticals to oil barons. Although I don't believe weed curing cancer is one of them. Just my two cents.

I have a hard time believing that there's a chemical that can cure cancer.

Seems to me that if the government can come up with a $25 cure for cancer, they would jump on it. Think of all the money the US spends on cancer. I'm sure they would rather have those BILLIONS to spend on other stuff. Like studying mating pattern of wild geese or something...

I think its more complicated, is there a level of conspiracy? Maybe. There's more money than what they are spending on research. Patients are paying them money to so they are making money. Plus with over population, and and the unemployment rate. Finding a cure could just be worse. Form of population control and to keep people spending money

If cannabis could cure cancer, who do you think would provide it? Probably pharmaceutical companies - if it could be used in pill form or if it had to be injections.
Without these "evil pharmaceutical companies" I'd be dead. So Dolz, have these companies mistreated you in some way or are you just complaining & making unfounded assumptions for no reason?
Are the governments of every other country that's done studies on it supposedly keeping it quiet too? How many countries are involved in this "conspiracy?"

What I'm finding online is that the US Gov owns patent #6630507 - on any and all uses and applications of: Cannabinoids as antioxidants and neuroprotectants. That's not the same as a patent on using it in any pharmaceutical product.I don't know if it does or it doesn't. Here's an interesting fact I got from watching a cable show on medical marijuana: the US Govt owns the patent on using it in a pharmesutical product.

That's very interesting...

Your Spanish study is not very credible.

And even if there were such a conspiracy people would just get it on the black market or from Mexico Dallas Buyers Club style. Especially considering that outside of Colorado and Washington marijuana is acquired via a black market style system already anyway.Dolz☀46🌛 wrote:

In Australia it's called a mix. Literally a mix of weed and tobacco. It makes the pot last longer (more joints/pipes) without really lessening the effect. 99.9% of the potheads I know do it every single time they smoke.ShytTAlker69 wrote:

Has anything changed in the past week about this then?

I read this story today and thought It might be relevant. Every case is different and no cure should be ruled out.
Stan is an 80 year old gentleman who had brain and lung cancer and was only given a few weeks to live. This was after he had been through the normal chemo and radiation treatments.

This link below is from the article and it's supposed to be the webMD of cannabis.

What limited info I've read on the subject seems to indicate the THC oils contain some properties that have shown promise of restricting cancer cell growth. Smoking it will not provide sufficient release of those properties; the oil has to be processed and extracted from the plant itself. I'll see if I can dig up the report.
-
Correction on my previous statement; it's the compound cannabidiol that has shown promise as an inhibitor for cancer cell growth, not the THC. Even the national cancer institute has done studies on it

There are additional examples of the potential medical benefit of the cannabidiol compound shown in folks who suffer from seizures.

I was just about to post it's the cbd not the thc that is good for you. Plants with a higher dose of thc usually have less cbd. Hemp is actually a better source for cbd. And there's a website out there that is selling cbd. My buddy just got a bunch of oil and a vaporizer for 90$.
