Just wondering if anyone out there has had their achilles tendon repaired? I had 2 bone spurs on my heel that tore my tendon. They put in 2 screws to fix the tendon and shaved off the spurs. Surgery was 3 weeks ago today. They removed 16 staples last week and they say it's heeling nicely. If you've had somewhat of the same type surgery, how long did your incision hurt?

I had surgery on my ankle twice. Not too bad of a recovery time but the scars it left are pretty impressive.
I've got pics if anyone's interested in seeing them.

It hurts as long as they keep the refills flowing on the percocets.

I tore off my Achilles' tendon 9th of April 2013, still recovering from it though. I may practice sports since of December but I still can't use my right leg like my left one. I practice standing on my toes on my bad side basically every day though. It will get back, it will just take up to a year which is almost.... I hope

Hope your recovery goes well, my mother was 3 months from them splicing her Achilles Tendon back together when it snapped in the middle.
