Kia Sorento 2013 Platinum edition AWD....
Was a dealers/demo so has 6,500 km on the clock but got it for <$45k drive away.
I think I got a good deal as they look to retail new for over $50k here in Australia.
Anyone else got one of these and driven them for an extended period? I've read some reviews and checked out YouTube.

You bought a Kia. That's worse than buying a Jeep! Toyota and Ford are the only real options IMO 😏👍
-
$50k will buy you three Kias in the US. 😳
-
Hhhmm didn't know this was Facebook 😏

Yea 8 year old dodge mini vans are worth 1500.00 cdn beat that my friend :)
And I got the snow tires for them too if you like brown spots haha! -

@ Grimm, I thought the car type would make this a contentious discussion.
@ Turfa, wife likes new, needed 7 seats, budget $45k, I wanted AWD. Neither Toyota or Ford provide all of those for that price.

Girlfriend has a Kia.
She will never buy another lol -
Friend bought an Optima. Very nice, he loves it.
We test drove one but decided on a Ford Fusion Energi.
First tank of gas got 52.2 mpg!!

If you bought the car off main dealer, you might take it back for full return within 7 days! And in future go for German cars ! Diesel ! Will last you for a lifetime

It's not the car's fault the drivers put them in ditches - I too have had to tow Fords and Toyotas out of ditches. As I said, it all comes down to the driver.вᵃԀ тṵʀғᵃ wrote:

I'm talking reliability, comfort, driveability: and those are the two brands I would choose on these three basic principals.

I have a 09 Kia spectra with 240k on it . Bought it brand new and have had just normal wear and tear things to replace. I also have a 08 Kia Sorento that has 60k on it the only odd thing on it is the A/C compressor went out at like 40k but was covered under Warrenty.

How did you find find their service when you had the warranty issue? And have you taken the Sorento off road? I hear really good things about new kias... Test drove a new forte koup before deciding on a used VW instead..
My boo had an older model kia sportage and that thing was a POS... She bought it for 2k used and within a week had to put another 3k in work into it. She had to carry a bottle of water to put in the radiator if she was caught in traffic and it broke down at leastonce a week....
But i digress. Congrats :) price is pretty expensive though... I think theyre cheaper here

Iv had no issue at all I took the car in and was fixed in 1 day. Got it back washed and ready to go. As for off road it does better then my Chevy Colorado in the mud and snow and I have better tires on the truck. It also handles the slush in the road better than my Subaru did. It doesn't care for speeds over 100 mph it will do it but works hard for much more than that.SILENT SHADOW wrote:

Thanks. I don't think I will push mine that much off road as they have changed it from a true 4x4 to an AWD, but good to hear warranty was looked after and cars have been reliable for you.Hyena wrote:

Of all the cars I've driven and/or worked on, toyota have been by far the most reliable, and ford have the best comfort, performance and price combination. Of course, I don't class the fiesta as a Ford, or even a car for that matter. I'm talking Falcons and the old GT's etc. Although, those aren't included in my 'good price' category lol. Screw paying $100's of thousands on a 50 year old car, regardless of how beautiful they might be 😜
