And Dota was a copy of an arcade game on Starcraft which was a rip off of the heroes in Warcraft ;)
Personally, I've noticed that LoL is more balanced. If you make a mistake, there is a chance of escape or turning it around. While on Dota, forget it. 5 second stun and you're dead.
The general atmosphere of league is brighter and comic like, which I prefer over the darker Dota.
So I have played both, I just prefer LoL.

Question: if the other team has someone who can stun for 5 seconds then why are you by yourself????
