TW Future?

We all already knew you wouldn't shut TW down yet: Mystery said you wouldn't! 😜👍The bottom line, official statement is this: Turf Wars is one of the longest-running games on the App Store, and going to keep running for a long time in the future. There's not going to be a surprise EA-style shutdown. Because we don't have any investors or publishers demanding an unrealistic ROI, we won't be forced to shut down TW to pursue other projects either. Simply stated, Turf Wars will be around as long as there are players to support it.
People have been predicting the end of Turf Wars since early 2010. It's 2014 now – and like all of you, I know that Turf Wars is going to be around for a long time to come.

I had no fears about TW being shut down but it's good to see you confirm it. My only drawback about the future is the lack of new players joining. Is this something that could be fixed from a little advertising or possibly a cross platform with android?Hey everyone,
Some valid concerns have been raised in this thread, and I appreciate the reasonable discussion you've been having about this. Please allow me to clarify a few things.First, the Dec 31 2014 date is a guaranteed date of operation that was put out there to quell fears of a shutdown during the Global Supremacy launch (no doubt we broke a lot of game industry taboos by having TWO iOS games out at one time). In retrospect, putting out any date was a mistake – because whatever date it is becomes the "shutdown date" in some players' minds. So there is no official "shutdown date." Turf Wars will operate through the end of this year and into the future.

Now Nick has said it's not closing. Give it a day or two then conspiracists can read every third letter and see that IT IS closing. Or some such. Lol. It's the way of the world.

Thanks for an answer I've been playing since last year and I see the population starting to dwindle nice to see some renforcement that this game will be around for a while.

Nice to hear - thanks Nick. I have to say in response to some other comments, I don't restrict what I spend on entertainment with a fear it will end. If it does then my spend will stop but I'll have still enjoyed the satisfaction from the money I chose to spend to play at a level I wanted. The return on investment for me is personal enjoyment - there is no refund. I hope it continues to provide fun for all who play and the economics make sense for those who provide it.

Thank you Nick for the clarification and assurance (and thank you Mal for the thread).
