The popular game at the time in my school had crashed, resetting everyone's profiles. Later that night, I went to the App Store to try and find another game that everyone could play with together. I had searched "multiplayer games" and began to scroll through all of the apps. As I was nearing the end, my hopes of finding the next popular app was fading away. Then suddenly, an app with a logo saying "GPS War" and a screen shot of a map that said "claim and fight for real-world locations" quickly caught my attention...

Being a big map nerd, I had quickly become interested and began looking into it, then downloaded it. Once I opened the app, I quickly skipped through the tutorial and went straight to the map to claim my first turf. Then I went to missions and started leveling up. I quickly became addicted...

Since then, I have been through quite a bit (for me at least). My first bully, saving a friend from being capped out of the game, hopping to the Dallas airport just in time for the spring update that opened it up again, getting revenge on my bully, joining different alliances, fighting in my first actual war, hopping to Poland, meeting a bunch of good friends, and a few other minor stuff. Today marks my one year turfiversary! Hope my next year will be just as exciting, and that there will be plenty more years will come!

A game called "fun run." It was a four player racing type game where you were an animal that had to run through a course while trying to avoid traps set by other players (bear traps, buzzsaws, lightning, etc...) it was stupid, but fun, perfect for an average freshmen. I had one friend that had already been playing before me. I tried to get some other friends to start playing with me, but they said they didn't get it and clash of clans was already their game. We had our own little noob flood around March or April that got a few of my friends playing.
