Just finished my first polygraph test for potential employment. Anyone else have to do one?

Yeah it's nerve racking cuz I want the job badly.

Fail the test question on purpose. Put a catch in your breath when answering the test questions. Make yourself twitch. If you can make the control questions come back wrong, then it throws the rest of them away :-)

I had to take one as part of my pre-employment background. I also have to undergo periodic polygraph examines in order to maintain my security clearance. If ya got nothing to hide they are no big deal. Go ahead and try to game the test, the test administrator will likley be able to tell, see how that works out for you. Generally, if the administrator thinks you are attempting to game the test you won't get hired.

✅ it's all about setting the correct baseline. Not quite as easy as it sounds as gotta be consistent with the degree of stress (bp, respiration, perspiration, etc) that the test monitors. It doesn't measure truth per say but more of the functions that are associated with truth or lies.

I'm just well-trained to disappear 😃
