Im interrested in this aswell.
Beeing from belgium i kind of know what the scots are feeling.
Living in flanders myself, last couple of elections there were politicians trying to be "seperated" from belgium.
As a lot of flemish people have a feeling that a lot of our flemish tax money goes to french speaking part of our country (to name just one).Whatever the outcome, i hope it doesnt turn to 💩 for either party

The Peshmergas the western world are supporting with weapons and knowhow are actually Kurdish. They want their own country too, taking parts from Iran, Iraq and Turkey (NATO member).
Will they use those weapons given to them against those countries? All the best to the Scots, keep calm if your choice won't win !!!

Very true! I hadn't thought about Chiapas. It'd set an interesting precedent. Don't think we will see a free Tibet in our lifetime... The Queen doesn't quite put the smack down like the People's Republic.gunstreet grrl wrote:

Are you kidding? The Queen terrifies me. 😜
I'm actually pretty divided on Scottish independence, especially since I don't live there (USA! USA!). Either way, hoping for the best.

So its a no!

55% NO vote. Says alot, Scotland is happy to remain a social welfare state and England are happy to continue subsidising it. The current arrangement remains, probably benefits England alot more than Scotland.
Its a tough one to call with the vote so close. -

You sir are just a fucking prick. You have not a fucking clue what goes on in Scotland. Do you think that no one works in Scotland or are you just another arsehole that thinks we sit on our arse doing nothing. If your going to bang on about how England is subsidising Scotland then do your homework first before you banging on about how we get more cash than you. Because of the Barnett formula we get £1200 on an average more than the rest of the uk but we give £1700 more back. You do the maths. The government has fucked us over and completely fucked our country hence the reason more money needs spent here.55% NO vote. And you can follow the prick above you. Alex didn't through in the towel. Because we got fucked over with the vote he can't call another referendum so he stood down and let others take control so we can have another.ᎠᎬᎪᎠᏞᎽ ⚒ D M L wrote:

Thats very nice of you Demon. First of all, i was all for scottish independence. Secondly i never mentioned anything about how much what costs who, i merely mentioned that scotland IS a social welfare state and england subsidises. I never once stated anything about scots not working, youre getting very defensive about the blunt stat that 55% of your electorate decided to vote no. Thirdly it doesnt influence me either way as im not a uk citizen.
Finally, i wish u all the best for the future and that another referendum wont be to far away. -

Oh man, I wish I could repeat everything in my life until I got the desired effect. -
55% no means 45% yes. It's just a matter of time. Reminds me of America's bipolar, oops, I mean Bipartisan system. When's the last time a US President won majority popular vote? Trivia buffs: When's the last time a US President won majority vote and lost? Because the electoral college is awesome and such.. 😬

Isn't this how the UK treats all of their acquisitions? Ever been to Grand Turk? The UK should be ashamed of that shit-hole island. It's a fucking trash heap. -

No president has ever won a majority, if you consider the entire population. As it is, nearly 50% of americans don't vote at all in presidential elections, and about 5% vote third party. So divide the remaining 45%, an there's no way anybody can win more than 50%.
Also, yes, the electoral college is quite superior to most methods of voting. *eyeroll*
