What are y'alls opinions on Banksy and his work? Do you think he is a criminal, street artist, graffiti-er, or sellout? I'm interested in hearing all of your opinions.

I follow him on instagram. I think his work is amazing, but I agree with mayhem, he's all of the above.

I like his work. It's original and unique. When you see a Banksy piece you usually know it was Banksy.

Great street artist, but not a graffiti artist. Different roots, different style.

He's a great artist. Smart, and witty, but he did sell out. He helped bring street art into art shows and gave it more of a positive image.

It ain't "selling out" for an artist to make some money from his work. Maybe you think a lawyer should give away his work on the street too.

Overrated. I know of several other artists that are better, just not as obvious or in need for public attention. I guess they have a different stance when it comes to their work. Respect where it's due, but it's not my thing.

Totally copied his art from another artist from 60s - saw doco recently , fraud really - also tagged on his rival - king robbo ( graffiti legend ) artwork while he in coma - has been spurned by graffiti artist worldwide who respect robbo cos of this ...

An artist maybe, but with most street artists there is the factor of vandalism.

I mean how would you feel if someone decided to spray paint on your house?

Actually, he dogged Robbo's work before he was in a coma.
