Many people get confused between Veterans Day and Memorial Day; Veterans Day celebrates the service of all U.S. military veterans, while Memorial Day is a day of remembering the men and women who died while serving.

On this day, let's celebrate and honor America's veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good. There are many who don't agree with how the government operates and decisions that are made, but we can all stand behind our troops who serve in order to maintain our way of life.

I want to personally say thank you to all who serve and have served in the Armed Forces. Please extend my thanks to your families as well, because we all know how difficult it would be without them. So today lets sit back and relax, have a beer, and celebrate! Pocket out...

I'd like to say thank you Pocket for making this thread. There are many people not only in the U.S. but all over the world that sometimes forget about the sacrifices their family members had to endure. Or don't care about the people that fought for them. I was in Somalia from '92-93 as an Army Ranger. It was unbelievable the shit that went down and I couldn't wait to get back home. I can only imagine what my grandfather went through during WWII. So again, THANK YOU MY MILITARY BROTHERS!!

Thank you to all of our men and women who serve. Also a thank you to the families who sacrifice so much. I'm a proud Air Force wife and wouldn't have it any other way, we live in an amazing country. 🍷😉👍

I believe in the UK we need something that celebrates the veterans along side the remembrance of them.
