Has anyone here ever been skydiving before? I'm going next Friday for my Christmas work party, and kind of been talked into participating...

I think the stats say your more likely to die in a car crash than sky diving! Go and enjoy it!!

This is true. However, most people don't skydive to and from work daily.

It's the best thing ive ever done! Ive jumped twice, first in Switzerland over the Alps at 15,000ft second was in america 18'000ft. Im thinking getting the licence aswel. It's also a massive adrenaline rush and you'll love it!!

Just be careful, your first mistake (and maybe even someone else's) will also be your last. That's what freaks me out about it. Requires a lot of trust.

Anyway. I've never been, but I know people who have, and they say it's a great adrenaline rush. It's like a roller coaster- the worst part is right before you jump.

I actually reccomend the opposite. By jumping tandem your first time I believe you can have more fun. Less to worry about & more able to enjoy the ride. Then, after your first tandem, go get your AFF as fast as you can.

I heard that a plane full of sky divers crashed in Belgium, killing everyone onboard. I find that a little ironic, the ONE time they didn't jump out of the plane....
