Is it possible to have an app for tracking people from their cell? I gotta call from someone today and they knew exactly where I was how long I was there.. It was freaky becuz I left the g-ride home n got picked up by a "friend"

I searched the app store and they all seem fake.

trailguru, everytrail, imapmyride, accuterra...

I use these on hikes and rides and can broadcast my location in real time.
