I'm owner/operator of a small landscaping company based in Latrobe Valley, Victoria, Australia.

If you are an accountant or you know a good accountant who charges a fair price, and you/they are based in Melbourne or Gippsland, please send me a message. I'm looking for a long-term source of advice and ATO help. This is not a joke, this is a small company owner trying to get his head around the legislation and red-tape involved in running a company.

I have begun contracting to a local sawmill, and have had some interest from potential customers, but need to get the legalities all sorted out before I begin seriously accepting work.

I did. I actually did several trips and it was hell on earth. I'd rather live in a cardboard box. Lol.
@Rare ... As a new business I'm not in a position to hire anyone else, I'm barely keeping afloat as things stand. The sawmill contract has been a godsend!

Have a chat with the caravan parks, hotels & B&B's. They need to keep their grounds in good condition but may not be large enough to warrant a full time Gardner/landscaper.

I used to know a bloke who's job (on contract) was to go around different hotels and just water and prune plants.
