“Rebellion to tyranny is obedience to God.”
― Thomas Jefferson -
“To conquer a nation, first disarm its citizens.”

It has nothing to do with you zealots owning your personal arsenals to protect yourselves from zombies during the coming apocalypse. Relax.

It's meaningless and unconstitutional until the Senate ratifies it.

If I object to the government entering my house and seizing my goods without probable cause, or arresting me without probable cause, am I reasonable or a zealot?
If I object to the government infringing on the free exercise of my religious beliefs, am I reasonable or a zealot?
If I object to the government housing soldiers in my house without my permission during a time of peace, am I a zealot?
If believe I have a right to a trial by jury, am I a zealot?

If you're not a terrorist and/or nutcase, I'm sure there's nothing to worry about.

It's just the same old reactions and clichés. If someone in government is talking guns, it must be about how to take them away from us, regardless of the words they actually speak. Rag, when any of those things even have a remote possibility in the US, I'll give you some credibility. But there are atrocities happening throughout the rest of the globe that are the targets of this effort. And I have no interest in your slippery slope comment coming next.

His logic is sound. The gun debates almost always use the slippery slope fallacy as a way to validate their argument. I like my guns, and I don't want them taken away, but this regulation is meant to thwart our enemies.☣✠ꀨৠęędꀨ✠☣ wrote:

So our enemies won't get guns unless provided by the CIA.Awesome logic lets take guns from American citizens and give them to Syrian rebels linked to al Qaeda . While we're at it, let Eric holder send more guns to Mexicans cartels. They would never kill American citizens (again). The government is no longer run "by the people" it is run by greedy corporations. Our enemy is only our enemy when the U.S puppets say they are. War is very profitable for those that pull the strings. They never let a tragedy go to waste. Those gun grabbers you support like senator Feinstein are corrupt. Her husbands construction company was awarded a $444 million dollar contract in Iraq. They keep asking for more gun control and yet ignore mental health care. The Navy vet who shot up the base was ignored even when he pleaded for help.

I suppose you believe Iran is giving up her nuclear ambitions too. After all her newly elected leader said they have.
The good news here is that a treaty can only be ratified by a 2/3 majority vote in the senate. That will not happen anytime soon.
Damn, those pesky founders, always making things difficult. It's almost like they did it on purpose.

Wow. Reel it in. Put some relevant and cohesive thought together before just spewing rhetoric. You know, I agree with you that war can be profitable. I would even bet that I'd be able to find someone in your own family that has profited. But I wouldn't assume they were corrupt. I'm not supporting Feinstein, I'm purely reminding people to do some critical thinking instead of just blindly following someone or some organization's biased fanatical positions that has the word 'gun' in the headline.

Fox News is like candy for the mind. It might taste good, but it will rot your mind. NPR is a pretty good not so biased news source.

Sorry no one in my family has directly profited from any war. I think the meaning of profiting is different for you and I . The senator you so dearly love IS directly profeting from contracts that are awarded to her husband because of her influence. If that isn't corruption I don't know what is. Sorry to disappoint you I follow no political party or group. Your reality is skewed.sounds like you just want to argue, just to hear your self.Wow. Reel it in.
