I'm not a huge fan of Poutine (French fries smothered in cheese curds and gravy) but do enjoy one on a drunken occasion. My question is; is it sacrelig to taint this already delicious combo with ketchup? Tried it tonight, ketchup + gravy = yuck...

I would never do such a thing! I have/had a friend that would get chips and gravy at the end if the night and put mayonnaise on it. Truly disgusting!

👆Fries with mayo - absolutely marvelous.

Poutine - could take it or leave it, dont really care for gravy. But adding ketchup to an already sloppy gooey mess? Definitely chunder-worthy! If i see anything with ketchup, i feel like throwing up. 😰😧

I have seen people put ketchup (or tomato sauce as its known here) on a roast meal with gravy! I mean c'mon! You don't need it on everything! I swear they put it on their corn flakes for breakfast lol.

I would cry if you tainted my beautiful poutine with your nasty ketchup! But then again, iam a poutine purist!

Depends what part of the country you are in. Across the river, they put ketchup on EVERYTHING! Personally I only put ketchup on my fries or burgers.

there is a place here that will top them with

sauteed Onions
cheese
grilled ham
grilled tomatoes
jalepenos
grilled mushrooms
chili
sausage gravy

and no, i wouldn't use ketchup.
