Does anyone remember the balls and rob news? I always thought this was a neat idea, but poorly executed, and resulted in basically a summary of current TW posts (no offense guys, I salute the effort).

It was a neat idea tho. Wouldn't it be great to have a news feed on what's going on? Many players are solo, non fighters, and haven't been pulled into the intrigue of the politics, drama and conflicts that occur everyday. Others don't get to see or hear about events or wars that break out in localized areas. But what if someone were to take on the challenge?

I always find the callout threads some of the best ones because they give insight into the "lore of turfwars" - helping players connect or remember the historic events of the game. Stuff you used to be able to find on the wiki (before it went inactive).

I'm considering booting something like this up, and I am looking for some feed back. Would this be worth while? Interesting? Or a waste of my time!

Please feel free to post in the thread or pm me directly. If u like the idea and would help, let me know. If you are an ally of mine and think this venture would be a "breach of trust", let me know. If your are a noob and think this would be really interesting, let me know!

Finally, if you are a vet that's been around and knows the ins and outs or the game, please provide some feedback, because I will be looking to u guys to bring some credibility (and articles) to such a venture.

Two factors will impact that. 1) that I get some quality assistance (2) that I get cooperation from the community - wont be much to write about if the community won't share some insight with me.
The goal in my mind will definitely be quality over quantity. Lets say once a week for the time being. If the ball gets rolling and momentum built, it can be reassessed.

You should start a pal room that could bring people with news in. This could possibly help you manage the news report.

Great idea. But is there a way for the room to be just for news cause I don't like have to go through 500 messages of history. But I'd still join anyway, overall cool idea.

I busted my dick every week coping and pasting the news to over 150 different people's Individual walls.Its fun to plan it but it gets hard.There is scum out there who do nothing but pick on you because of your news.Some people still consider me a forum troll because of that.But the funny thing is what would you talk about? Nothing's happening in tw.Forums have been dead.All the good players are gone.If you want to do something good start a game show or something.

.What else is there to talk about besides the stuff in forums.Wars are getting pointless.Its the good (capo stars etc) versus the bad (twfc,FUA etc).What happened to every alliance for themselves? It's a war game,its not fun if everyone is buddy buddy.

Jerry I appreciate your comments. Not trying to be a dick but your comments show your lack of knowledge. A lot has happened, your just not privy to it.
Anywho, I get your point. It's a lot of work and I don't plan to do it unless I get a lot of support from this thread (and volunteers to help 😉).

Fantastic idea! I always thought balls n rob was a great concept, but never really gave me what I needed. (No offence Jerry). Specifically, Turf Wars politics. Who is in what alliance, what alliance is fighting who, etc.

Good luck with this Fallacy, would love to read what's happening around the place. I could do a summary of what's going on in the Vendetta forum if that's of any interest. Not looking to start lynch mobs just reports on small local battles being recruited for...

Oh and the voulenteers.I got so many of those.None did their jobs on a regular basis.i had to do their jobs because they were "busy" every week.

Well after a day, I think I'll let this die a natural death.

Thanks to those that provided a positive response, but I don't see a whole lot of enthusiasm for the idea. At least not enough to justify the work require.

Prob too late but... Love this idea. I agree with earlier posts; The RobBalls news was SO close to an awesome thing... But make it like a tabloid instead of readers digest: (note, accuracy is not important - just entertainment value..) Who is fighting who and where and why, some fact, some fiction, with a dash of 'made it up cause it was funny..' plus 'who saw a ghost of Das' and 'JaBe returned from the dead and is actually planting turf in the Panama deadzone as a zombie' and 'who IS the father of Mystery's alien baby anyway?' etc.. There's gotta be more than a few turfing journalists who want to assist you and I heartily applaud the effort. 👏👏👏👏

This would include news from the map, not only restating pointless stuff from the forums. I think it would be awesome to read about the map on goings, where twfc or FUA is trying to make a stand or where they got booted from, or where they executed a sneak attack. The map is 10x's more interesting then the forums. And JB ppl called u a forum troll not because of ur news, but the fact you would "bump" ur thread with nothin new or make 3-4 threads about the same thing. And the fact u say nothing is going on proves ur just another noob that knows nothing about the game, but still wants to be "important" This could be great Fal I hope u do it.
