I have been practicing installing audio systems in cars and trucks(mine, dad's, bro's, sisters.)
Am currently planning to buy a new mono block amp, 4 channel amp, equalizer, audio control epicenter, 2 alpine subs, 4 coaxial speakers(upgrade to components later.) and all the wiring. -

My stock radio comes with an auxiliary port. I rounded off the system with a 12V dual port USB charger that I connect to my phone and stream radio over 3G.

Not really I but have ath-m50's and they are great I just need an amp and they'll be perfect.

Just sold off my amps and speakers recently. -
I've got a nice clean setup in my impreza,Sony DAB CD player with Bluetooth for my phone,infinity components up front,infinity 3 ways in the rear and an infinity 10" base cube in the boot. Not silly bass but clean and crisp and can still make my rear view mirror go all jiggly

I have an iPhone 5 and a pair of Seinheiser CX400II for those lovely public transport journeys.

I've had 10s and 12s and have to say 12s can drown out alot of the mid and high notes so a nice little punchy 10 goes a long way..I'm also getting a bit too old for all that massive bass lol

I used to have 2 12-inch Rockford Fosgate Punch series subs in a ported box powered by a Rockford Fosgate db1000.1 (wired to run at 1ohm), Pioneer Premier head unit, infinity's 6.5 components upfront and tri-axial 6x9s powered by infinity 4x200w amp. Crystal clear audio but could rattle your teeth as well. But I do agree with Rud...if audio quality is what you want, then stick with a 10-inch sub.

I just put on my Grado headphones and laugh at those who have overpriced/overhyped Beats on their head as they try to make a social statement.
The car is factory with only the speakers replaced with some decent Polk Audios. Made a world of difference.
