I never said anything about Brenda and when I spoke in a private room about the violation of terms of service I didn't even know who DVC even was. But it's funny that DVC account is the only account in this game that is allowed to be touched/ run by someone other than the original owner.

Wow, what a response. I personally think accounts are personal processions and are the property of the owner. That being said I believe you should have the right to transfer or sell your account. I think if the owner did not want their account they should be able sell it. Mean free path would over see all account transfers in a open auction with MFP keeping 25% and transfer the remaining 75% to the previous owner. The new owner gets total control of the acct.

even with alot of paid accounts, you are just paying for the right to use the account. like renting the username on a monthly basis. the account still isnt yours.

from nicks perspective hes given you the right to use that account, you cant sell that right out from under him, but he could sell it from under you if he so wished. its his account. someone could pay him whatever amount and he could give the account to them. it would be a dick move and bad for business but legally i dont think you could do shit about it.

maybe thats why people get so mad about the money theyve spent and start to feel entitled. they were under the same illusion and felt they had certain rights. ive always know better but thats because ive run webservers and mail servers before. its been a while but i believe websites or domains are the same way. and pubic blocks of ipaddresses, you dont technically own the name or ip just paying for the right to use it. if you dont pay your monthly bill someone else will “own” your website lol.

if you “owned” the account you would own a piece of the company and have a say so(however small that might be) as to what could be done with it. but you dont own anything. nick is owner of the game and all accounts are his. we just use them and pay for the entertainment it provides us.
