Thought of you today as I was looking over my CA turf. Rest lightly my friend
-
Man I can't look at any of my turfs in Cali without being reminded that you're gone. Miss you man. Cap Das out while you're up there will ya 😜
Rest easy my brother. -
Just checking Lax and had a flashback to May 28, when we were all filling holes after evicting Bj and Das' lot. Miss you big guy.
-
Thank you, Brenda. I know too well what you mean when you say you feel stuck while the rest of the world is moving on - it takes time and everyone is different. I used to feel shame about not being able to somehow manage my grief over my dad. Don't ever do that. It's the worst thing in the world.
I wanted to let you know that you will heal. You won't be the same, but you will heal...
Sending you many hugs.

Hang in there Brenda. You'll be reminded every day in some small way that he's gone. Just cherish the memories. Look at your little girl and be thankful that you've got her. She was obviously meant to be. As one life ends another begins.Thank you guys. I too wish this were all a dream. I got some

That hole in your heart will never completely go away. It'll just fill in a bit over time. It gets easier. Never easy. Just easier. Were all pulling for you and are virtual shoulders to lean on. Turf Wars is a family and we miss our brother. 🌹 -

Brenda, we are all praying for you...

Brinda,
I did not know DVC (William) in the game very well,.....I spoke to him one time while playing.... But from everything I've read I read about DVC (William) he was great mentor in the game in life and was all about family, .....Also from everything that I read on here, it makes my heart hurt for you and your family...... We are all just a bunch of game playing fools on here that have been keeping you and your family in our prayers.... I wish only the best for you and your baby girl I can't imagine what you're going through but I can only encourage You to stay strong for her.......
My prayers will be with You and your family for a long time. -
Sorry to hear about your loss. Stay strong.

Thank you all for kind words. People tell me it won't get easier i will just learn to live with the pain I have. It's true. He really did love this game and I guess that's what keeps me coming back to read all your posts.. I'm sure he's smiling down at me laughing that now here I am going into his game lol I miss waking up at 2-3am and he's playing lol :(

Was seconds away from bumping. Words can't explain how I feel for your lose. Me and DVC had a thing going. I would call him a homo and tell him it was autocorrect. Damn I miss him :-(
-
Ps. As much as he loved this game, dime to a dollar that if he knew how it was going to end, this game wouldn't have ever been open so he could spend time with y'all. One of the classiest people I've ever came across. Period.

I remember when we had to coordinate between his sleep schedule and the baby's sleep schedule to plan attacks :) Miss those times...

Brenda... Just remembered something. A very good friend of mine who had lost his mom recommended I read a book when I was going through all the confusing emotions of grief over my dad. It is called "The Year of Magical Thinking" by Joan Didion. If you have the time, read it. It helps knowing that you are not alone.
Sending you very big hugs.

I will def look into that. I just started online classes for medical coding so I could get a second job to do from home so I can keep up with this little diva we have. Daddy created a diva spoiling her rotten lol

He stopped when I told him to stop lol he was sweet but he would always need to go to the "bathroom" I told him "I know you just go in there to play. It's ok you don't have to." Lol he knew I caught on and he just laughed about it

So sorry for your loss. Much respect from the East Coast. We've lost a legend, and you have lost a fiance and father, but he will always be with you in spirit. Rely on your inner strength and the love of friends and family and you can move mountains.

I always thought that was hilarious and have always called it the same. I even told my wife about and we had a good chuckle about it. So now when I go to the bathroom she says "goin to your turf wars office babe?"
She's never been a fan of TW herself. But learned to tolerate it lol. Funny how small things stick with you. Just wanted to share a small way in which William effected my life. I think of you and your daughter often 🌹 -

Just came home with his sister from picking out his marker.. So sad :( even though we weren't married yet his family has decided to put loving father, husband, brother and son... I lost it :(
-
Thinking of you Brenda. Stay strong for your little one. The moments when you recall your times together will never fade, but fondness gradually replaces the pain. You are all on our prayers.
-
Well that is sad. Logged in on a fluke - first time in many months and saw this. RIP DVC, you were quite helpful to a new guy and had a great attitude. Sorry for all your friends and family.
-
Sad news. Guess I should read forums more than once every 6 months. R.I.P.
