iPhone 5c is the budget iPhone. They're also releasing the 5S. So hopefully well definitely see an influx of players.

Is that what they're calling it? The budget phone? Isn't it a 100 dollar diff between that and the 5S? Which is sort of the same price drop the 5 would've have been slated to experience. Maybe I'm misinformed.

The 5C supposedly is just a 5 with a plastic case. If you have a 5 now, you would be downgrading.

C is for color...not cheap. Not does Apple even have that in their vocabulary it appears

the 5c has the same processor as what is out now. maybe c stands for classic. :). the 5s has the upgraded processor and graphics.

In my area 5c is 99 with contract 5s is 399 with contract.

I'm due an upgrade in October. I'll be holding out until the 6 is released.

I am looking forward to an increase in new players though.

There are much better 'phones' on the market for half the price these days.

and imagine the feature of the "Fingerprint identity sensor built into the Home button" I guess Apple will 'file that somewhere? and under law if Authorities request those detail Apple will have to release that information. (not that it bothers me) . I guess they will find criminals much easier and probably a good thing

I've had many a arguments for what the C stands for. I say color , but regardless its basically the 5... The difference between the 5s and 5c is the upgrade. The 5s is slightly smaller and lighter (very little tho), the main difference is in the chips, the 5s has apples new A7 chip with64-bit architecture, and M7 motion coprocessor. Oposed to the 5c that has the A6 chip . Than the other differences I see are the fingerprint identity sensor, burst mode for the camera, slo-mo video, and $100USD more ( thats the 5s of course). My questions is, is the extra $100 worth it?
