Version 2.42, which fixes the mini-map crash, has just been approved by Apple. Thanks for your patience while we worked on a fix!

Thank u nick

Thanks for the update. The mini map seems to be fixed but. Sometimes when I click my profile I end up at the emergency room. And sometimes when I click turf names/my profile/other players profile I only get the top half and the bottom half is just blank.

So nick just curious , is Tw still your number one money maker . It is still top notch in my book. Keep up the good work as I keep feeding it the dollars.

Trav I don't think he would tell us...
but map doesn't freeze as often BUT it still freezes with the upgrade, and then the whole app freezes not just the map

Is any one else still having problems ? I'm now getting transparent turf , even after going to settings and trying to sort it ... This is making the game terrible to play .. Especially when fighting.. Then the crashes are still happening , is this getting fixed ?

I am just curious...any news on the Google play version coming out?

Is it the IOS causing the problems or the upgrades? I'm a bit reluctant to do either at the moment.....

Still crashing

it would be nice to get this fixed

Just updated to 2.43 that came out yesterday. So far it seems to be ok

Hey everyone,
After an exhaustive review of the Turf Wars codebase, we've found an issue that affects all iOS7 users – an issue that is the most likely culprit in the crashes. There is a "memory leak" in the iOS7 code related to the drawing of turfs' names on the Map. This causes Turf Wars to run more slowly as you play it, eventually causing it to crash.Unfortunately, there is nothing that we can do to fix this issue (other than remove turf names from the map) – it is an iOS7 issue. Fortunately, this issue appears to be solved in an upcoming beta version of iOS 7, but until it is released these crashes may continue. Apple doesn't typically announce minor version release dates, so it could be weeks or months before a fix is in.

Fortunately, there is a workaround. You can reduce the chance of inopportune crashes by fully closing Turf Wars when you finish a playing session (double-tap the Home button, find Turf Wars, and swipe up to close it). This resets the memory used by Turf Wars, so it will be less likely to be terminated on your next session.
Thanks to the players who've helped beta test our workaround versions, and to everyone who has patiently waited on a fix for the crashes.

Glad I'm a Luddite and still on 5.1.1 😜

I've always found TW works better if I fully close it at night before I go to sleep.

Back when I was using iPhone 3GS it would also slow down after continuous play and eventually crash

@nick: would turning off caching be of any help to prolong time you can play before it crashes?
