Oh for crying in a bucket!

I'm going to give you all some valuable advice.
Don't spend $400 on a cheap nitro-powered radio controlled monster truck. They break easily.
Not that I'm complaining, mind you, but I would've liked to burn through the first tank of fuel before disabling my new toy.
That said, I'm looking on the bright side. All I have to do now is collect all my tools from my parent's home and set up a little machine shop in my garage to strip and completely rebuild my little truck.Maybe I'll rebuild the other couple of cheap RC toys I've had for years as well. 😏

Reminds me of when I was 15 and brought a 4wd Toyota Celica, you know the 7 times WRC champion car. I had to build this baby from scratch. A friend had the Subaru WRX and we were racing them around the playground of the local school (on the weekend) and I got it to do a jump onto some ashphelt.... Bang... And the car stopped dead. I could hear the engine spin but the wheels didn't turn. I lifted the car and the wheels would spin but put it down and nothing... Never did fix it, it's most likely still under the old house. You can have it if you're in Sydney and I can find it....

I could likely fix it, but unless it's collectible I doubt I could justify spending money on what I'm assuming is a transmission issue ...actually, (thinking out loud here) ... I wonder if it simply snapped a drive shaft when it landed. I doubt that'd be difficult to fix/replace.
I have virtually zero experience working on radio control cars, but I can't see it being too hard. I guess the same basic principals as machining parts for a car or robot would apply, and I've worked with those in the past.

There's always cheap radios and motors on eBay from when some damn fool dives his brand new RC airplane into the ground. Hehe.
