Any Fire Fighters out there? I want to know what does it take to get in. I've looked into it a little but I'd like to here the good and bad from members of a community that has some sort of experience or knowledge. What is an average starting salary and what can you look forward to making? What are some good benefits?

Really depends on where your located obviously. My best friend is a FF and loves it, I know having a paramedic degree helps you get noticed

👋✋👋✋👋. It really depends on where you work. I love my job, but it's not about the benefits (not bad) or getting rich (not going to happen). It's the best job in the planet as far as I'm concerned. As far as the good & the bad of it; good, you will be able to help your community in ways you could never imagine. The bad, you will see things in your community that you could never imagine that you can never un-see. If you have any more specific questions feel free to comm me or post here.

Unfortunately the end of this is true. I have a friend who was a firefighter for a time and he said he had ended up at a couple suicides. So just be prepared for that possibility. That's something you will never forget.
