I was at the beach with some friends and I put my phone in my cooler and went into the water. While I was gone, someone messed with my cooler and got water in it...
Long story short, the water is making the screen extremly dark and I wanted to know if anyone knew any ways to get it out. I don't have a pentagonal screw to open it up... But I'm thinking of investing in one😑 And I heard rice will help dry it out so ill try that when I get home. -
put your phone in a ziplock bag filled with rice for 24hrs. Should absorb all or most of the water.
-
I usually put my phone in a plastic bag to keep it dry but I haven't the last few times I went to the beach😞

You know those little packets you get in some food that say "DO NOT EAT". If you rip them open it looks like tiny pladtic balls. They are in there to absorb moisture. If you can replace the rice with those it's far more effective.

Stick your phone in the microwave for 5 minutes on rotate. That should do the trick. Make sure phone is on.

The last time my iPhone got wet. It died of a slow death. The first to go was the screen then the Bluetooth then wifi and so on. I tried the rice in a bag trick for 4 days but I think the phone was to wet to recover. I'm not sure where your from or how old your phone is but apple do an out of warranty service for things like this. If its a new phone this could be your best option for a replacement. If i remember its around £140 for a new phone.

did you get any coverage on ut when you bought it? i was surprised when i got mine 2 months ago that best buy, at&t and apple all cover water damage with their extended warranty.
-
No when I bought it I didn't take the extra warranty. When I had to use the out of service warranty my phone was only 3 weeks old.
