They sold a bunch of her shit and trashed the rest of it. They refused to compensate the woman for full value. 🇺🇸'Murcian capitalism🇺🇸

Except, you would hope that there were a few more checks in place than just a postie putting mail in the wrong box.... How can they not be made to compensate the poor woman??Same way mail goes to the wrong house.. People don't pay attention.

I'd there is no law suit then there's more to the story. I'm confident that fam's phone has rung off hook by attorneys begging to help.

I know it's pretty shitty for those involved, but I chuckled a little!! 😊

She filed a police report but the case was closed a few weeks later. When she went to the bank manager with a bill for damages totaling $18,000 he said something to the effect of "We're not paying retail prices to replace your stolen/destroyed possessions." Shows quite clearly who really holds the cards in our justice system.

If she paid full retail price for all of it how is it that they are not forced to pay full retail price for what they destroyed? I realize a few pieces of the furniture likely came from a yard sale possibly or something of the such but still......She filed a police report but the case was closed a few weeks later. Yeah, it's FUBAR. Most insurance companies pay full retail for stolen household items, this should be no different. They need to make her whole again. They're lucky she's not suing them.★fnord★ wrote:

Well she should give some of it back, but she shouldn't be made to fully compensate them for her loss....Glock45 wrote:
