Broken bones

Recently I screwed my leg up bad. Two and a half weeks ago I was tubing. We where coming home, and I was behind the jet ski my dad driving. So I look to my right and I see the neighbours dock closing in fast. I threw up my knees and covered my head and chest out of instinct. I hit the dock and didn't feel anything, so I assumed I was dreaming. Then it occurred to me I hit a dock! I'm probably dead so I try to move and feel a bone touching my other leg. So I figured out I was neither dead or dreaming. So I yelled out I broke my leg 2x. Our family friend jumped in and swam me to our dock. My dad pulled me out and out of nowhere this guy named Kirby appeared. This guy I had never met before and his friends ran a quarter mile to help me. So about thirty minutes later the ambulance showed up and I was life lighted to a hospital an hour away. I was conscious the whole time. I'm fourteen now. I have a broken tibia, fibula and femur. I have a torn ACL, dead muscle, broken skin, torn vein, and bruised artery-

As well as minor nerve damage. A year to recover. When was your worst break? How long did it take to recover?
-
Sorry to hear about you accident prospect, hopefully you will fully recover. Good luck, and use the time to 👊👊 some codes
-
Torn acl is pretty bad... Hope you recover well. You are young so time is on your side. Good luck
-
I'm praying for ya! And my worst injury would be that I fractured my patella( knee cap) playing soccer and took me 8 weeks on cruches and then month and a half on physical therapy and still can't run a mile yet but I am getiin there 👟
-
Sorry dude that would really suck. The worst that happened to me was I broke my wrist, then the day we took the cast off I sprained it again. :(

Walk it off.

I had a bad accident at 19. Fractured vertebrae, broken ribs etc etc. 2 week coma, 1 month ICU, 4 months hospital, 2 more months at live in reabilitation. When I left, i was still soft but 2 years later started working out at gym and became better than before the accident. You are young enough to heal. So believe, listen to your PT, and get ready to train hard. PM me if you want to talk more.

Oh yeah, and a broken tailbone. Couldn't walk and that was depressing but you just have to pass the time to get through it. Punch codes and set small goals to feel progress.
-
Thanks Bernie green and everyone. There's a lot I've learned from friends parents and stuff. But yeah I'm glad I'm able to walk and have both legs. I really wanna know the treadmill story now lol.

I broke my finger once
-
I've fractured many bones over the years. However, what really did me in was the full tears of all the ligaments in my knee. Took a 9 hour surgery, cadaver ligaments, and 6 months of rehab just to weight bear on it. It kills me to run, even 6 years afterward, though I jog a mile nearly every day.

Ouch...
When I was 14, a underweight girl jumped on my back for a "piggyback" and my left femur snapped in two under the weight. I tried walking on it, which of course made it worse xD
I assumed due to the situation, I had just pulled something.
Round about 4 months later, we discovered it was actually bone cancer that weakened it. -
That stinks man. I wish you a speedy recovery! My best friend was in a bad car accident and thought he was gonna die. Now, he is running and training for the army with metal rods in his leg and arm. On the other hand, I am 19 and I have never broken a bone yet. Got milk?!
-
I keep the metal rod in my upper leg, so that bone will be near impossible to break
-
Hey, being paraplegic now, from refractory brain cancer, I know a lot about pain and PT. broke both wrists, and hairline fractured my skull. PT will be your hero. Praying for ya!
HEERS TO HOPE! -
Broke my big toe........ In a pillow fight! True story. 😕 Also got hurt on a fire & had some disc fused in my neck.
-
Fracture my toe by walking into a statue. Fractured my finger turning a football game and kept playing and made it a lot worst
-
My other leg was broken and I didn't even know 😳

When I blew out my ankle playing ball, I remember my boy telling me that.....while I crawled off court...dragging my injured leg behind me. 😄
-
Rub some dirt on it.😜
Good luck buddy, you will have to do a lot of physical therapy. As for me, I broke tons of bones in my teens, doing stupid things of course. Take the PT very seriously and eventually push yourself harder each session, not over exert yourself, but your body can heal itself if you work hard.
It's no fun, but I hope you heal well, young man.👊

Ugh, that's a load of nasty injuries. I'm not 100% sure, but you might need surgery on the ACL (I may be confusing the ACL with something else) and you can only get surgery when you are 16 (Legally) so you might have to wear a brace until then. I hope you feel better.
