Hey everyone!
I'm going to DC soon and was wondering What you guys like. I need some new places and resteraunts in or around DC. I will have children in my party (FYI). If you could help that would be great. Thanks.

Fasikas (spelling) in Adam's morgan is an awesome Ethiopian restaurant that is def worth experiencing. The good is amazing & from a culture stand point it's def worth checking out.

Visit the Smithsonian, the food it ridiculously overpriced but the museum is really cool.

There is a zoo, in my opinion isn't the best, I didn't go to the petting area though. There is also a six flags about 20 miles outside the city in Maryland. If you have kids that are interested in old ships there is a navy base that has an old ship you can tour but I'm not sure of the times they do the tours.

Get a national parks passport book to get stamps for all the monuments if you want to do those. The smithsonians are cool but I find some of the less popular ones boring.

I was taking pics with my family outside the White House and everyone was ordered to leave the area because Obama was coming outside.

Do the tour of the capital it's enjoyable and you learn a lot, there's food right by it too

Great falls (two seperate sides) in Maryland & Virginia are pretty cool. Both sides offer a different view & feel of the exact same location. The va side has more hiking adventure trails but MD side is considered by most to be more picturesque. If you can only do one, my personal opinion would be the VA side.
