Sort of like hide and seek with a GPS device. Someone hides a cache & provides the GPS coordinates for others to find.

I looked in to Munzee. We don't have very many in our area. And, sometimes the tags are hard to scan.

The "official" and best app is 9.99. However, there are some free ones. Or, if you have a real GPS unit you can get coordinates from the website above for free.

It is good excersises and gives you a good reason to get outside. I've become addicted! Today we found #95! Here we come find #100!!!!

Would've found/planted more, but sometimes real life gets in the way...
Anyway, it's a fun time. I definitely recommend it. Be careful doing it late at night - cops don't think it's as much fun as I/we do...

Darn real life!!! I hate when it gets in the way of my fun! Lol
I have heard lots of stories about caching and the police. Most recently a local cacher was stopped. When they explained the situation the officer wanted to know if they found it yet because it was on his did not find list! Lol

Lmao! I wish that had been the case with my son and me! We were questioned over an hour by three different cops. Never did find it... And haven't been back. 😟

That stinks. Usually if you show them your phone or GPS and explain it they are pretty nice about it. We're you in an area that has lots of caches hidden? Here the area is saturated. Hard to find a spot that is at least .1 mile from other caches when you are planting.

I got the badge! And also got one for finding my first cache in the state of Colorado (not my home state) at the same time. 😃

So I just read the app info for the intro to geocaching. You find and pick up an actual thing that someone hid? Not a virtual thing on a map?

It's an actual thing. Usually there's a piece of paper you sign and date - oftentimes you leave a message for others or there's some little trinket for you to take - but if you take something, you should leave something else. The fun is in finding the cache.
