The Whistling Pickle

The Whistling Pickle is a phone number that appears to come from the Jacksonville Beach area. Nobody knows who actually owns this number or how it exists. When this number is called, a series of sounds are repeated to the caller.
I discovered this number a few years ago, and through some googling I learned that others had experiences with it. Apparently, it has been active for decades now, never changing or experiencing outages.
I found a website that had several first hand accounts of experiences with this number. Some people had no effects, but most complained of headaches after hearing it. Ever further, some people complained of more severe side effects, including nausea.
The most shocking thing that I found related to that number was that police were investigating a murder, and discovered that this was the last call that the murderer made. Police never were able to find out why, because he was a babbling lunatic when they got him.
-
There were also a few sites and forums in which people had discussed how, what, and why the whistling pickle exists. Many reasons were suggested. Government testing, aliens, mind control, and MK Ultra-type experiments were the most common explanation.
I discovered these things years ago, when I first found the number. Tonight, hillbilly's weird part of YouTube thread made me think of it again. I searched it again, but to my surprise, I was not ale to find nearly as much information this time. Curious, I called the number. Instantly, and without ringing, the noises began. I do not find them particularly pleasant, so I hung up immediately.
The phone number is 904 241 1080, and it works, as I called it before I typed this up to post here in the GD forum. Try it out for yourself, and see what you think.
-
Again, the phone number is 904-241-1080.
This is not a prank, joke, scam, or anything other than what I have stated above.
For the record, if you call this number, it will be of your own free will. I will not take responsibility for any side effects that you may have or any actions that you take afterwards.

I have called this number twice in my life. Once before I knew what it was, and once right before I typed this stuff up, to make sure it was still the same.
I only listened for maybe 30 seconds the first time, and hung up as soon as I heard the sounds this time.
-
I love these things. Too bad nothing shows up when you type it in on google.
-
I got a couple noises then the call disconnected

Hope Gallery
Jacksonville,FL 32245The hope gallery phone number is actually 904-355-HOPE, and is ran by quadriplegic artist Tony Ryals.
I highly doubt that he has any relation to the whistling pickle.

When u call it goes woooooooooooOOOOOP WoooooooOOOOOPP WoooooOoooOoppp
-
14 minutes later the time changes it's slightly louder now. You can hear a faint whisper saying something about the lake and a rope. Can't make it out all the way though
-
I called. Okay, time to drive my car off a cliff!
-
Roughly 18 minutes into the call this whisper turns to a loud echo of a man deep in voice. Mind u I put this on speaker phone and listened for change while in other room lol doing dishes. The deep voice of the man that changed from a gain whisper says clear as day. The reflection from the lake true to that of your own, ripples up and down as you swing from the rope that holds you to this world. ... Brief pause... Voice back to a whisper cut the rope be free or tighten the grip and be rewarded for your pain
-
23 minutes into call. You can hear a young woman say is it done? Are they free? A loud no possibly from the deep voice from before scares the piss outta me lol. The deep voice then says after saying no. They are weak they have not let go of their beliefs. The girl then repeats let go man says tighten up back and forth they continue saying this. Let go.. Tighten up let go tighten up. A splash occurs the deep voice laughs to himself the woman starts to cry. The man then says ready up the sacrifice has been made we are free to roam this world. Another two minutes of wooooooooooop noise like beginning of call then it disconnects
-
My call lasted 25minutes40 seconds so 25.4 respectively for this. I then googled 25.4 and it came up on first page 25.4 people are catholic. So I went to the catholic bible link. Took me to the psalms. I typed in 25 subsection 4 so I used 25.4. It says make known to me your ways Lord, teach me the path. This directly relates to the the path the guy or girl in the call had to choose cut rope be free or tighten grip. Creepy!!!!!

I'm a natural skeptic but I stay away from anything creepy.
Each year I take over 200 people for an overnight stay in San Antonio. There are hotels near the Alamo that I will not book because I have heard that they are haunted.

Fuck me my phone rang at 4:12am caller ID said it was house across the street the barber shop. I didn't reach phone in time saw the number looked out window and saw nobody around at the barber shop no lights on anything. I then look out the glass part of my door other side of room and the ducking paper guy OpenSSL screen door and drops the newspaper I almost shit my pants/killed someone. Because I had my weapon on me haha.

All the mad ideas aside, could it be a phone number where phone services can test the quality of transmission.
It's possible the sounds have a variation if frequencies and a machine would call that number and evaluate if the sound is clear or not over a set amount of time. -
