So in other words it has turned into a game where you have to pay to play ?

Agreed. Everyone's being all pissy about not getting their precious respect points. At one point, this program didn't exist and you had to pay for respect points. Support the app that's given you amusement, a cure to boredom, taken the shitty day and turned it into something you can't remember, and gave you lots of new friends, even discovering a new world on pal... And though you may be angry, insulting the TW team isn't how to release your anger. It just makes the situation worse and the mods grumpy (no offense). And when it really comes down to it, turf wars isn't about free DP, it's about having a good time with friends. >insert closing sentence here :SQuit being a dick.

Out with the old in with the new..

When I was getting started with turf wars, I knew I would never catch up to any of the large players of that time, but I knew that I wanted to give it a try. So I started punching, but I soon discovered that I couldn't have the turf limit of you guys because I can't justify spending on a game when college is just a few years away. So I gave up the hopes that I could be considered a top player, and settled for the 5 dp a day to get by. If those weren't around when I was starting, I probably would've quit right away. Id say try to keep them any way you can, or new players may never even start

Do the 5 free points really compete against paid points? 5 points a day are nice but don't quite make you a major player ....Until Free Don Points are implimented again this game just became one that you have to pay to be a major player.

That was my thought. Like most have said, the 5 free points is nice n keeps me logging in day after day. Also keeps track of when to increase my turf limit. Ya I still pay to play but the free points is that "thanks for stickin around". If there's no way of keeping them (either a new third party or nick being generous) then it is what it is. We may not get new players stickin around cuz they'll have no chance to increase turf (unless they go with tap joy which could take 2 weeks for one turf). Hopin for the best. Planning for the worst.

Thanks for finally addressing this issue though 👍

Thanks nick for looking out for us. Just not having don points for free will not settle well with many players and a solution needs to be worked out. I don't mind not having free 5 per day but it would be nice for there to be more opportunities (ex. Leveling Up, Achievements, ect.).

Not everyone wants to just "talk on the forums and run missions"Honestly, I never even used the 5 free points for a while after they were first implemented in the game. Granted it's a nice feature that allows people who don't want to spend money on an app (much like myself) a definite way to at least increase turf every 2-3 days. It's a nice feature, but if it goes, then so be it. It isn't Nick's fault, don't give him shit for it. Instead just play the game. Do missions and talk on the forums, that's how it was in the golden days, and I miss how things were back then. Just because you newer players came in after they free points were put into action, doesn't mean complaining and grow the fuck up..
Some people like to play the map. Which requires turf. Players like wegsies can't afford to spend on limit. So rely on those free dp. You obviously don't play the map whatsoever. So why don't you grow the fuck up yourself big boy. -
I don't care about the free points they was good while they lasted thanks for coming out and posting us about it. Now about those airports lol

Oh how I love how we have all become so greedy and selfish!
This is the age of "me". Everyone expects to be given what they want and they want it NOW.
What happened to the days of working for what you needed and wanted? You were thankful when you got something for free. For those of you who want DP so bad I have an idea for you (and I know many players that have done this).
Ready? It's going to require a little work from you... Do you think you can handle it??
Give up one thing a day/week that you pay for that isn't a need. Say the soda from the vending machine. A fast food lunch. Whatever. Take that money and exchange it for an iTunes card!
Life isn't free! Work for the things you want! Believe it or not, you will enjoy things more if you work for them than if they are just handed to you.
Now I will step off my soap box, grab a glass of my generic soda from the 2 liter bottle and be happy that next week I have enough for a $10 iTunes card since I bypassed the name brand soda in a can.
-
By golly, how did we ever play they game before Free don points? How did we increase our turf...we mobbed up and went on a capping spree. Then when we were over limit and immobile, drop weapons and have a fire sale. Maybe this is the first step in bringing back the old skool. Next might be airport closures. No more "free" hops.
-
Some of us don't get payed for anything what so ever, never. Becuase some of our families have to spend money for food and the roof over our heads and don't have money to spare. I have neve been able to purchase don points, until last week when I got payed for doing a favor that will never come around again, I'm to young to have a job, and I don't get to have payed chores or anything like that, so I the free don points are the only way I can increase limit.
-
Wyster- no money to spare, but you have an iDevice?
Ok, that's beside the point.
Are you old enough to babysit? Mow lawns?
If you have no way to earn money, then just be happy you have the opportunity to play this game and accept the fact that you have to play within your limits.
Life isn't free. Better you learn that now than when you are out in the real world. -

Thanks for the update nick.
Lotsa people making good points. I think the bottom line is this: you need respect points to grow in this game. For those of us that buy them, this is a minor set back. For the many players that rely on the 5 free to grow their TL and enjoy the game, this is a huge kick in the nuts.
All this other stuff about it entitlement, expectation, blah blah blah.... Is irrelevant.
The game requires DP.
The spenders will grow, the free players have their small life line cut off.

Speaking for myself the 5dp points were a motivator to log on to TW every day. It's part of the fun having to be patient and build a turf every few days.
I'm not getting them for months already and notice that I log on way less than I used to. -
I think the issue is that they are advertised. If the developer cannot find a platform that cab deliver on the promise, that then becomes an issue for the game developer. In order for it to not be an issue, simply dont advertise the free points. You cannot offer something and then not deliever. Take away the offer and there is no problem. That is my two cents.

PS. I want my 4,000 hench too!

Listen, if nick were to cancel the 5 dp, it would cause SOME players to quit, most would be annoyed, but would keep playing.Your going to lose half of users who make it a point to log on just for respect points! There only so much you can do at a time on this game.

honestly more times than not i forget to do the free don points anyways. that being said. i don't understand what a persons location has to do with getting ads? i see ads on the internet and on tv that aren't for me all the time. just advertise the games period , or don't. but having something that doesn't work right is annoying to say the least.... actually i might pay more attention to it now that it's broken lol.
