Don't let the door hit you on the way out. ✌
I hear Minneapolis is nice. It'd be 1 of the few cities I'd consider. Then Beim & I can be neighbors. 😜

If you have a family or starting one, you can't beat the education system in MN. The Twin Cities is a major metropolitan area with everything any other major city has to offer, but with a smaller, hometown feel. It has a great art scene and most importantly, a lot of brew pubs. You can be in the heart of the cities and within 15-20 minutes be out in the country. Many Fortune 500 companies are located here, so there are good employment opportunities. The state bird is the mosquito. With over 25,000 lakes, what do you expect? That also means lots of water activities if you like being outdoors. MSP ranks as one of the metros with the most bike trails and hampster tubes (skyways) between buildings, so when the windchill reaches 40 below, you can park the bike and can walk the city instead. Lots more to say, but do a little online research to see which fits your needs.

Chicago is a world class city. Catch me eating lavish meals out in Streeterville. Ingredients freshly from the farm to the plate. Minnesota is just basic.
Go Timberwolves...
