Baseball cards

Going through some old stuff of mine and I found a box of baseball cards which i am planning on selling and since I know almost next to nothing about baseball I was wondering if someone could help me out to come up with a price and see if there are any rare cards or buy them. There are probably about 500 of them and I found cards as old as 1981. Thanks

Are they in good condition? Use eBay as a price guide to see what people have paid for the cards (under finished auctions)

Yep great condition

Unfortunately they are worth squat. Believe me I thought I had my retirement paid for until the bottom fell out of the market. Most are worth about $0.10 each. I have thousands of dimes collecting dust.

He's right. The market got polluted with too many cards in the 80's and 90's.Unfortunately they are worth squat. Believe me I thought I had my retirement paid for until the bottom fell out of the market. Most are worth about $0.10 each. I have thousands of dimes collecting dust.

I aquired a stack of cards from my great aunt when I was about 7. All 1964 and 1965 topps. Steve Carlton rookie card #477 was the prize. Worth 500$ at the time. Since that time, Carlton won his 300th game, retired and entered the hall of fame as one of the best lefty starters ever. Few years back I get ahold of a price guide, scope it out and it's worth $150. Shit aint right.

I have a pile of a hundred basketball cards sitting around somewhere. I very much doubt they'll be worth much. My advice is to sell them individually instead of as a set. You'll make at least a little more that way.

I have a bunch, worth about nothing. 1 might sell a little: 2 Grady Sizemore rookie cards
And
A stack (I think 15) Jim Thome rookie cards -
Present day only jersey and autograph cards are worth a sh*t

Not true. Most jersey cards are worthless. And have you seen what people pay for modern, numbered rookie cards? Cards going for $1,000 ain't rare. As for 1980's baseball, with a few exceptions, most aren't worth much unless graded and in mint or better condition.
