I'm on my lunch break, I have my Best Buy shirt on and I walk into a McDonald's right behind a huge family. If it was me in that large family I would have told a person in any type of uniform to order ahead of my group.
Not this group. Just lost 5 minutes of my lunch.

No one looks to McDonald's to represent the pinnacle of civilization.

No lie, I was at a fraternity/sorority retreat and had way too much to drink. I have a tendency to streak when under the influence. Apparently while I was not myself, I stripped down and fished a wild duck out of the lake. I don't remember doing it but everyone got out of my way.
With that being said...drop your huggies and people will get out of your way. Drop your huggies with a wild animal, and people will get out of your way a lot faster. 👍

It's not the same everywhere. In my small community... Under 100k people will tell you to go ahead most of the time. That's how I was raised anyway.

Etiquette and good manners play a bigger part in respecting the wait your turn policy of a queuing system, surely. 😄😜

The key words there being "have a reputation". You can't imagine the cauldron of boiling fury that rages under that calm exterior, largely fueled by their being so close to, yet not part of the US. You have a point, but how many people does the family have to let through? Especially at lunch where I imagine a lot of other single workers go. Why is it not Maccas fault by not providing a 2 people or less queue?

Did i miss something here? Its a best buy shirt, right? Not military / police / fire / EMS?
Please dont take that the wrong way, any job that pays honest money is a good job...
But its a best buy shirt. And its mcdonalds. Not exactly the worlds leading teacher of 'class'.
I agree with the concept of one person vs a family, id let you thru in that basis.
But a best buy shirt?

Ask not what your shirt can do for you, but what you can do with your shirt, eh? Right?

My bad. I was too distracted by the use of the word uniform and mind already raced 100 miles per nanosecond.
Agree with Johnny on this one, if it's 1 vs. 5, yeah. (btw sorry Johnny, it's me again 😳😘😂)
