They have those flimsy plastic cases for cards, get that case signed, then put it in to one of the harder cases for cards to protect the card and signature.

Our meeting is this Saturday. I still haven't made a decision but I'm leaning towards having him sign it....

Plenty of cards from the 70's are worth money. An Ozzie RC in mint is worth $400+ graded. As to whether to have it signed, I'd base it on the card's condition. If it's a mint card, don't get it signed. If it's in lesser condition, go for it.

Do what makes you happy bro, I mean unless the ball would be worth millions in the future then who cares about the monetary value in this particular case. Congratulations on a very cool life time experience. Very cool story! Dragons and wizards not required.
